Location: The Rail Office is based in Romford, Essex and initially this will be your base for training purposes.

Scott Parnell is a leading independent provider of construction materials and services into the Civil Engineering, Groundworks and Rail sectors. We are an established brand within these sectors with a huge resource of experienced and knowledgeable sales professionals.
Due to the success and subsequent expansion of Scott Parnell Limited, there is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Rail team in an external sales and specification role.
You will be selling directly to Contactors and indirectly by gaining specification from Design Engineers and influential figures within their respective industry.

The ideal candidate will be based in the South East and have experience in sales, especially with a Civils, Rail or building materials background. Please do not let these criteria put you off if you are keen to apply as all candidates will be taken at face value and you will be trained and guided through your transition into the role. We would also be keen to speak with graduates and school leavers who have a growth mindset and want to enter a fast paced and ever-changing role.
Job Criteria:
• To grow business within existing and new sectors and maintain / extend existing client relationships.
• To conduct technical presentations to construction professionals on our range of innovative products. This will often involve National travel and overnight stays.
• To act as a conduit for technical enquiries and to respond quickly, concisely and accurately.
• To manage your diary effectively, arranging meetings with clients.
• To ensure reports and CRM and kept up to date, utilising the information effectively.
• To attend trade shows, seminars and networking events to further your industry knowledge and to build your base of clientele.
• To assist in and provide marketing, social media and printed media advertising input.
• To attend fortnightly sales meetings to discuss project and personal developments.
• A driving license is a necessity and a company car is available
