Field Engineer Manager
£300-£400/day
6 month contract
Based in Newport
Our client is a well established Nationwide Rail company whose professionalism and well respected name, have been instrumental in their success.
You will need:
- OLE experience in erection of masts, SPS and wiring. He does not require any foundations experience.
- Significant knowledge of OLE railway systems and/or infrastructure terminology, design, construction and commissioning.
- Management and relevant experience with discipline specific expertise required
- Awareness of Network Rail procedures and standards.
- Experience of collection and usage of data and translation into performance metrics,
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Understanding of the implementation of Construction Quality Management systems.
- Experience of developing and managing teams.
- Driving Licence
- AC/DC PTS certification
Desirable:
- Degree in a railway Engineering discipline
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified
- IWA/COSS certification
- Awareness in planning and scheduling works.
- Associate chartered membership of professional engineering institution
- Health & Safety Management certification
The Role:
- Our client is seeking an OLE Field Engineer Manager to support with the management and control of area Field Engineering activities in order to support project Engineering, Construction and the Project Manager with efficient deployment of resource and assurance of the quality of work undertaken by suppliers.
- The role is to work on the Bristol to Cardiff section of the Thames Valley Great Western electrification project and requires a senior Field Engineer, with clear OLE/OHLE experience to join an existing team to quality manage all works being undertaken. You will be required to maintain a detailed knowledge of the progress and performance of the works, address technical issues and also assure the installed works meet the design specification.
- You will contribute your OLE experience to the effective integrated planning and management of Field Engineering resource to minimise cost and provide an effective service.
- Providing support and guidance to individuals to develop their competency and assist with their performance in delivering the task, you will brief the Field Engineers for daily activities so risks are minimised and quality of service is maintained.
