The Role

You will be tasked with leading a team of Engineering Managers to develop and deliver the engineering and operational strategies for their individual maintenance depots.

This key appointment will involve;

• Review and recommend improvements to processes and procedures to enhance the performance and reliability of the fleet

• Manage budgets and control costs across your region

• Implement timely and effective communication channels to develop a motivated and informed workforce

• Forge successful relationships with external bodies within this unionised environment

• Ensure that industry and Company rules, regulations and standards are understood and observed

• Work with the Training Department to develop competencies and progression-plan across the Engineering function

About You

With experience as an Engineering Manager or Fleet Manager, you will be practiced in strategic planning to deliver to financial and performance objectives ideally from a public transportation background.

You will be a motivational leader with demonstrable success in employee engagement and developing high-performing teams.

Previous experience in setting and managing budgets is essential as is your ability to forecast and identify opportunities to improve processes that reduce costs.

A NEBOSH certificate and qualification in an engineering discipline is required.
