Head of Rail Systems Integration: Saudi Arabia

EWI are supporting a leading International Engineering Firm and are requiring a Head of Rail Systems Integration to be based in Saudi Arabia

In managing the integration of the transit systems and the civil infrastructure components of the Backbone plans, this post assists the Rail Systems and Integration Director.

In order to identify, clarify, and resolve project interfaces, this function provides technical oversight of activities related to systems engineering and integration.

The Head of Rail Systems is accountable for acting independently on project-related Integration issues.

This is a single status, expat contract that comes with a competitive tax-free salary

Job Description:

• Control over the function of system engineering and integration.
• Assembling the project's integration procedures demonstrates visible leadership and a commitment to the concepts of systems integration.
• Responsibilities include identifying Project Integration problems.
• Informing the Rail Systems and Integration Director of any technical concerns that come up as a result of integration efforts.
• Offer specialised knowledge in software configuration management and a related sector of systems.
• Collaborate with the assurance manager to show compliance with assurance requirements.
• Collaborating with the Interface Managers to ensure that the BEC design and subsequent contractors work together to define, design, and manage the systems, rolling stock, and infrastructure interfaces to meet the Projects requirements and deliver the necessary level of "whole system" performance.
• Supporting the project's successful delivery with infrastructure and different rail operation modes that need for complete system integration.

Requirements for the role are:

• Single status
• Degree qualified in science or engineering
• Minimum of 25 years' experience in delivering rail projects
• Direct experience of Integration in High-Speed Rail
• 7+ years in supporting project teams in the development and V&V of designs throughout the entire project lifecycle
• English language is essential
• Middle East experience
