Rail Chief Tunnel Specialist - India

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Chief Tunnel Specialist with strong TBM & NATM experience for an ongoing High speed Rail project in India.

Opportunity:

Working as part of the Project Management Consultant (PMC) on behalf of the end client you shall be joining an international team who are responsible for carrying out the design and now the Construction Supervision phase. The project is a long-term ODA financed project being carried out to FIDIC conditions.

This is a long-term opportunity to join the project from the earliest construction phase and play a key role in its successful delivery. The role will be based in Mumbai.

Responsibilities:

The successful Tunnelling Specialist shall be the leading representative with Tunnelling activities on this green field project, acting on behalf of the client. They will be required to supervise the construction (both TBM and NATM), report on progress and resolve technical issues as they arise. They shall be supported by a team of Tunnelling Engineers, Geotechnical and Commercial experts.

Key requirements for the role:

• A Civil Engineering degree (or related subject)
• 26+ years of professional experience
• 16+ years' experience on Rail, Transport or Infrastructure Tunnels including in a lead role.
• Previous International Consultancy experience ideally on ODA financed projects.
• High Speed Rail experience
• Regional Experience

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is around $12,000 to $14,000 per month tax free.
