M&E Estimator in United Kingdom
Randstad CPE currently has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator. Due to the awarding of new contracts, our client, a leading Principal Contractor operating within the Rail Industry is seeking to employ an Estimator (E&P) to be based in their North West offices to get involved on major projects on a freelance basis along with long term work.
The Contractor
My client has grown steadily and built strong, long lasting partnerships with its clients. As the company developed they have set up dedicated divisions to cover rail infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Be able to develop competitive cost effective tenders to meet identified client needs.
- You will work closely with the planning team in relation to work sequencing and programmes and will liaise with Supply Chain Manager with respect to placing of any major supplier or subcontractor enquiries.
- You will be able to work from a bill of quantities or just a set of drawings from the client, provide prices for everything from a one-off scheme to maintenance projects which will be completed over several years.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Candidates will have a good knowledge of M&E Estimating preferably with TFL and/or Network Rail experience.
- Experience of commercial projects, civils works, heating and ventilation and high voltage works would be advantageous.
- You will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines and should have the ability to coordinate bids.
