We are seeking to appoint two MOD 5 Test Assistant’s.

The purpose of the job is to carry out the installation and implementation of signalling schemes ensuring targets are met in a safe and timely manner.

The job will assist in:

• Inspections of equipment and systems for safety defects.
• Performing and recording results of safety tests on critical equipment and systems.
• Testing and certifying the safety of new systems/installations.
• Testing and certifying the safety of systems/installation modifications.
• Auditing of safety of railway installations.
• Recommending safety improvements in equipment and/or systems.

The ideal candidate must have had experience as a MOD 5 Tester and have excellent communication skills, be reliable and flexible. They must hold SWTH MOD 5 and have or be working towards IRSE Licence category 1.3.150. They must also hold a valid PTS, DCCR & full UK Driving Licence. Lookout and ICI would be desirable.

These positions come with a minimum of 160 hours paid 4 weekly, 28 days paid holiday per annum and a company phone.

An up-to-date IRSE Log book will be required at interview stage.
