Monitoring & Performance Officer (Rail) in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, United Kingdom, United Kingdom
Monitoring & Performance Officer (Rail)
Salary: £33,782 - £35,745
Transport for the East Midlands (TfEM) brings the nine Local Transport Authorities in the region together under the auspices of East Midlands Councils (EMC).
TfEM is working in collaboration with the Department for Transport (DfT) to provide local input into the management of the East Midlands Railway Franchise which started in August 2019 and will run for eight years with the option of a two year extension.
We are looking for someone skilled at reading, analysing and interpreting data, to research and assess information and to help prepare the case for improvements to rail services across the East Midlands Franchise area.
The key skills required are the ability to manage and analyse a large amount of data (including using Excel), to work out the story the data is telling, and then to communicate that story to people within and outside the rail industry. Rail knowledge is desirable but not essential.
You will also support TfEM’s input into other relevant franchises, consultation exercises and wider rail processes and structures, which are likely to evolve over time.
You will be based in the attractive Leicestershire town of Melton Mowbray at our offices in Pera Business Park on Nottingham Road, but with opportunities for home and mobile working. NB: During the current Covid situation all EMC employees are working remotely. When onsite there is ample free parking, on-site café and gym facilities. Additional benefits include an allowance for business-related car mileage, access to the local government pension scheme, reimbursement of a professional fee (if relevant to the role), a minimum of 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. We also offer learning and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements and a positive working environment within a respected organisation at a regional and national level.
Closing Date for Applications: 12 Noon on 16th December 2020.
