RSS Infrastructure are pleased to announce, that due to a significant contract award, we are looking to recruit a number of Nominated Person(s) AC to work on a long-term project.
RSS INFRASTRUCTURE Limited (RSSI), has been recognised by Network Rail at the 2018 ‘Rail Partnership Awards’ for its work within the Rail and Construction industry, developing bespoke solutions for clients that deliver improved safety and productivity.
From our offices in Birmingham, Newport and Doncaster, RSS Infrastructure has over 100 directly employed staff members and a diverse contingent labour workforce that cover the majority of the UK. The company has developed a service portfolio that includes; Overhead Line Electrification, Vegetation Management, Track Access, Civils/Construction solutions, Safety Critical Resource Services, Magnetic Safety Barrier Fencing, Magnetic Points Boards, Signalling Services as well as being the UK’s sole provider of Track Warning Systems
What will I be doing?
As the Nominated Person you must be able to fully understand the dangers of working on and around the overhead line system, be able to read OHLE drawings and be fully conversant with the wiring instructions. On a daily basis your responsibilities will include:
- Taking isolations to the required Network Rail standard NR/L3/ELP/29987
- Completing isolation walkouts to the required Network Rail standard.
- Delivering briefings at Client Whiteboard meetings.
- Providing support for Authorised Persons and Earthing Assistants
- Instructing level B Authorised person to apply and remove earths
- Completing paperwork and briefing individuals to a high standard.
- Production of end of shift report.
- Representing RSS Infrastructure externally
What experience would we like you to have?
- In date PTS, COSS/SWL1, OLEC3 (preferable) and Nominated Person (AC)
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven Overhead line experience. (To include carrying out Height & Stagger surveys)
- Experience in the reading of bonding diagrams.
- Isolation planning experience (not essential)
