I am looking for an OHLE tests supervisor to assist with T&C on a £300m project based in Greater London.

Purpose of the Job

To supervise T&C activities (phase 2.2 to phase 3) for the OHLE systems under defined and approved Safe System of Work in accordance with the Operational Safety Rules and T&C Plans and Procedures. The scope of the works covered under the Contract involves OHLE (open sections and ROC).

Part of the Testing & Commissioning Team

Organisational Reporting

Reports directly to the OHLE T&C Lead Engineer

Network & Links

Coordinate the OHLE works with the OHLE Switches Commissioning Engineer;

Liaises and coordinate with the Power Supplies Manager;

Liaises with the RMC to get access onto the trace;

Liaises with the Certification engineer.

Objectives & Responsibilities

Implement the latest T&C delivery programmes for the OHLE via the use of the T-12w, T-4w, T-1w and Daily Notice meetings.

Where subcontractors are appointed to deliver T&C works, manage them for the testing and commissioning phases of the project in line with the programme requirements.

Manage direct testing and commissioning teams on site.

Implement the Test Procedures and populate the associated Test data sheets.

Support the PSM to organise the relevant teams of Authorised Persons and Senior Authorised Persons to assist with HV energisation.

Liaise with the WAD Manager and supports the WAD process.

Liaise with the Temporary Operations & Maintenance Manager for all interfaces with temporary services.

Ensure that T&C activities are safe and compliant with the Health & Safety procedures and regulations within a Crossrail operational environment.

Coordinate with the OHLE installation team to ensure a smooth transition from IRN into T&C.

Report progress daily to the OHLE T&C Lead engineer and/or Switches commissioning engineer and raise any warning signs or issues that could affect the program of works.

Liaise with the Certification engineer to obtain the necessary certificates (PCCs, PACs).

Requirements

Relevant electrical certifications in High & Low Voltage

IT, computer literate

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Knowledge / Experience

Relevant experience of OHLE / HV Systems design, installation and/or testing & commissioning

Experience in testing and commissioning of OHLE Catenary systems

Good communication and team leadership

Behavioural Skills / Competencies

Versatility, professionalism, time management, good audit and record keeping, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, team player.
