Operational Support - Stores & FLT Operator
Circa £19/hour Umbrella

Purpose of the Job
As part of Nottingham Supply Chain department in one of the world's leading Rail companies, the responsibility of this post is to support the existing stores team to ensure that all materials are processed in a timely manner, that all correspondence is correctly completed, and to ensure that all materials are correctly stored and accessible for business requirements. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, with internal interaction with Operations, Sourcing and Supply Chain departments.
FLT License required!
Objective
Ensure materials are stored and provided to Operations in line with procedures
Measurement
* Stock accuracy - Number of missing parts
* Material receipt to storage processing time
* Number of parts kitted and line side
* Number of Close Calls related to Stores Activities
Shifts
* Monday to Friday
* Early/Late alternating

Late shift: <phone number removed>
Responsibilities
* To receipt from suppliers and issue to production teams all material requirements for the business including train parts, tools, consumables and any other physical material
* To ensure control of calibration equipment through the stores in accordance with the procedures - notably dispatch, delivery, update records and files.
* To safely handle and store materials
* To efficiently process all documentation related to stores activities
* To perform stock checks, investigating discrepancies
* To ensure all Stores activities comply with Company, Health & Safety, and Quality policies and procedures, i.e. packaging, handling, issuing of materials
* To keep the stores secure and ensure good housekeeping in stores (including lineside) locations
* To undertake other activities as defined by the Purchasing Manager
Essential Technical Knowledge / Experience
* First-hand experience working in Stores
* SAP system experience (preferable not essential)
* Fork Lift Truck licence holder
* IT literate with knowledge of MS Office
* Experience in Railway industry (preferable not essential)
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality legislation
