Long term contractual position, offering very competitive per day rates

Our client who is engaged in delivering effective upgrades and enhancement to our national Railways is working on a series of high profile Track renewal and installation programmes at present and are in need of an experienced, project delivery committed and process driven P-Way Supervisor for a long term contractual basis to be based in London.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the P-Way Project Manager, you the P-Way Supervisor will be accountable for assisting in the Planning of P-Way delivery requirements mid-week and out on site controlling and supervising the effective delivery of all planned P-Way delivery works
• The appointed P-Way Supervisor will need to ultimately ensure that planned work is carried out in line with regulated Health and Safe standards all within a timely fashion and to client specification and expectations
• You will have a strong working knowledge of P-Way renewals, installations and also related Rail interface consisting of Civils, Comms, Signalling, etc.
• You will be very familiar with effective development processes and will have a good working understanding of P-Way installation s and Renewals, as well as effective construction objectives, including delivery methods and procedures.
• You the appointed P-Way Supervisor you will have a strong working appreciation of Tamping, Stressing, Track Handback and TQS.
• It will be your responsibility to ensure that site records are maintained and kept up to date, this will include the credibility of Work Package Plans produced and Task Briefs and Method Statements issued.
• Being the P-Way Supervisor you will be able to adequately assess and best utilise the strengths of a team and monitor progress against programme, with this you will have a consciousness towards costing and expenditure, this will also include the use of Plant and Hand Tools.
• As the experienced P-way Supervisor, you will be a supportive, hands-on lead and driver of others who will be able to gain respect and positive response from a team .

Requirements:

The needed P-Way Supervisor will have previous experience working in a similar role, requirements planning within the mainline sector and will possess the right knowledge, abilities and experience to deliver sometimes time critical Track / P-Way requirements for Plain Line and S&C.

• To be considered for this role the P-Way Supervisor will possess the following;
• Planning experience in relation to P-Way deliverables
• Extensive Plain Line and S&C installation familiarity
• Working appreciation of Tamping, Stressing and Track Handback, TQS
• Team leading and site Supervision skills
• Heath, Safety and Qualify aware
• Totally delivery focused and driven
• PTS as standard, ICI, SSSTS or SMSTS as a nice to have
