SPL Rail Resourcing, part of the Powerlines Group, requires two experienced Payroll Coordinator’s to join the team in Doncaster. SPL Rail Resourcing offers modern temporary employment services that combine safety, reliability and flexibility.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The job holder will be responsible for supporting company operations by performing day to day payroll duties. SPL Rail Resourcing provides both white and blue collar labour supplies across the country. This role will involve managing a large group of contractors to ensure that payments are prepared and processed as required. Experience processing payroll is essential.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Maintains office services by organising office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
- Provides historical reference by defining procedures of retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts and equipment procurement
- Keeps management informed by reviewing and analysing special reports, summarising information, identifying trends.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assisting colleagues in non-payroll related duties such as Fatigue Management and Logistics.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
- Any relevant qualification
- Computer literacy
- Willing to undertake further development training
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 12 months experience in accounting, data and administrative practices and procedures
EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:
- Experience of working in an Administrative and supervisory function
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Knowledge of office software packages
- Experience of working in the rail industry
