Location: Warrington or Milnrow (North west)Your New Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Planner - Highways to join our Area 10 Highways account in Warrington or Milnrow - on site role.
Planner- highways plays an important part to assist the Planning Manager on a National Highways Maintenance and Response contract in the development and management of a routine maintenance programme and the planning and delivery of reactive works in line with Company's agreed financial expectation.
The standard hours of work are full time - 37.5 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:
- Develop a robust works programme including cyclic, reactive, electrical and technology works for the Operational Team
- Support Senior Planner by managing critical paths and monitoring progress of programmes and develop an appropriate action plan where works are falling behind programme
- Arange and chair collaborative meetings with the Client and other Key Stakeholders regarding co-ordination and integration of works, maximising share opportunities where possible
- Liaise with the operations and commercial teams to ensure smooth running of the contract and that decisions/directions are consistent with the achievement of quality, safety and programme and financial objectives
- Plan and manage traffic management bookings, identifying internal and external share opportunities
- Work with the Area Managers to ensure resources have been allocated to deliver the programme, highlighting resource clashes and imbalances
- Ensure that all team members operate according to Amey principles and have a clear understanding of systems and processes
- Promote the introduction of innovation
- Accept and validate works orders and allocate to the Operational Team
- Maintain and develop key client contacts to maximise future business opportunities
We want to hear from you if you have/are:
A motivated individual, from a construction industry background with strong Stakeholder management skills, experience in budget/commercial management, strong IT skills and safety knowledge. You will also be required to have a UK driving license.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have Knowledge of the North West motorway network with P6 and experience in Highways maintenance to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
