Principal Landscape Architect (Southeast of England)

We are currently working with a leading design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy who are looking to recruit a Principal Landscape Architect to join the team based in one of their Southeast offices. As Principal Landscape Architect, you will join a team working on major prestigious projects within London and across the UK, enabling you to advance your career, whilst giving you the freedom to achieve personal growth and development.

 
As Principal Landscape Architect your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure fit for purpose processes are in place to support the service.
  • Provide analysis, advice, and support to resolve problems and enhance business and operational performance
  • Demonstrate leadership and direction to ensure the maintenance of professional standards and high levels of motivation and commitment
  • Contribute to a delivery team that is highly motivated in looking after clients and Project Centres interests
  • Lead and facilitate delivery of training, development, and succession plans for the service
  • Provide technical and commercial information to produce tender documents and marketing material
  • Author high-quality bids and proposals and develop competitive fee pricing models.
  • Actively keep abreast of the latest techniques and best practises to maintain quality standards
  • Develop and maintain professional networks as a basis for a contribution to the development of best practice and fit for purpose solutions

Job requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Ideally experience of 10+ years
  • Experience in managing teams and budgets at principal level
  • Membership of appropriate professional bodies/s
  • Detailed technical knowledge of public realm design, landscape architecture and/or master planning.
  • Seasoned professional with substantial experience in professional discipline
  • Good professional experience in programme and project management
  • Broad business knowledge and understanding
  • Significant skills and experience in people management
