Primary duties include commercial administrative duties to support contract delivery.
As such we are looking to strengthen our Operations team with a Project Manager to join our civils and electrification projects in the London region.

This role is for a key position in our expanding rail business. The Project Manager is responsible for the safe delivery of the project to time, cost and quality requirements. You will lead all project level dialogue with the client supported by the PMO, Senior Project Manager and Functional Heads. You are expected to manage the project from award through to hand back and final account conclusion. You will manage all sub-contractors and your own site team.
Key Responsibilities

• Project Management
Apply project control to aid the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project to ensure the project is delivered safely and is a commercial success
Define at the Project start up meeting all required documentation and ensure that this is all valid and current before commencing any site activities
Conduct a review of your programme to ensure it is up to date and reflects actual progress and that future work is planned according to the published project programme
• Client Management
Prepare for and attend client progress meetings; arrange, organise and lead internal project progress meetings; and attend construction meetings
• Change Management
Control and capture any variation or change to the schedule or scope of the project and for ensuring that all commercial and schedule considerations are accounted for
• Delivery
Submit the requirement for track access, including contingency, to the access team in the timelines referred to in section “RIPS” in the IMS
Validate that an approved CPP is in place and that the relevant requirements of the CPP are adhered to including the production of subsequent Work Package Plans ensuring Work Package
• Auditing
Conduct Site and welfare inspections on a period basis and other audits as noted in the IMS
• Project Documentation
Agree and document with the client and document controller, the requirement for a hand back folder using the Design Deliverable Matrix, which will be accumulated during the project lifecycle ensuring all project records are recorded, issued and managed via the document controller
• People Management
Manage the development of your team, setting annual objectives, identify any training, mentoring or coaching required
Provide support and advice to your team and ensure that all your projects are being delivered to a high level of quality
• Business
Use the BCM Information Management System and encourage the use of the IMS throughout your teams according to set standards
• Reporting
Ensure that all project reports, internally and externally are completed on time and that the reports are accurate and consistent
• Safety
Control and champion health and safety on your project, specifically using competent and sufficient Human resources, sub-contractors and suppliers. You have a target AFR which if achieved will demonstrate to others that you are committed to safety

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree or HND
An engineering qualification and Project Management qualification are preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a project management role
Experience with in the rail sector, ideally civils and electrification
Technical Proficiency:
An all-round knowledge of project delivery.
