Rail Architectural Steel Structures Specialist -Philippines

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Steel Structures Specialist to join an international consulting engineering firm, working on behalf of the end client for a landmark urban rail project in the Philippines. This role includes a combination of design expertise, construction supervision, and contractor management, ensuring the delivery of world-class infrastructure that blends architectural innovation with robust structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Technical Oversight:
• Develop and review architectural steel structures, such as station roofs, bridges, facades, and other components, ensuring functionality, durability, and aesthetics.
• Oversee structural analysis and ensure compliance with international standards and Philippine regulations.
• Construction Supervision:
• Monitor and supervise the implementation of steel structure construction, ensuring alignment with approved designs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, address challenges, and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Contractor Management:
• Manage and coordinate with contractors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations.
• Evaluate contractor performance, approve work schedules, and facilitate issue resolution to maintain project continuity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and the client to ensure seamless integration of structural and architectural components.
• Act as the client's technical representative for all steel structure-related aspects, providing expert advice and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience specialising in architectural steel structures for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably urban rail or transit systems.
• Extensive experience in construction supervision and contractor management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

Salary

Salary would be between $9,000 to $12,000 per month (Tax Free) with additional allowances for accommodation, flights, insurance etc.
