Job title : Rail Stations Manager
Location: London – Multi-site
Salary: £50-60k + benefits
Role Summary
This is an exciting time to join a busy rail company as a Station Manager managing multiple stations across central London and acting as the Deputy Head of Stations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional from a customer facing role within the stations or on-board teams to progress their career or for an existing Station Manger to grow their exposure managing an area/route with multiple stations, high passenger numbers and frequent event management.
The role
- You will manage a busy route with multiple stations responsible for managing all station staff and maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service at the stations.
- You will be responsible for managing staff training & development and ensuring staff compliance with best practices and operating procedures.
- You will be responsible for resource planning and rostering and managing absences and temporary staffing needs.
- You will be responsible for the station area CSS scores and maintaining high quality service at stations.
- You will manage HSEQ compliance and the risks presented by working in a safety critical environment.
- You will be responsible for supporting event and emergency response planning for the stations/routes in your area.
- You will collaborate proactively with external bodies such as the BTP to ensure safety and satisfaction of customers and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong people management skills – the ability to proactively manage and motivate a large team and organise and mobilise workforce in a demanding environment
- Previous experience in the rail sector – ideally within the station environment
- Ability to attain necessary licences for example - Station Operating Licence, Ticket Office Licence and Safety Critical Licence
- Excellent attention to detail, presentation and customer experience focus
