Working with Amey on TRU is essential for anyone serious about a career in rail. You will be pioneering new techniques, using the latest technology and helping us set new standards for collaborative working.
The role
You will assist the Transpire development and delivery teams in the creation of a robust haulage plan. Manage all aspects of haulage on TRU-West, input all engineering trains and OTM’s into NROL to meet all timescales.
Key accountabilities
You will:
- Submit all haulage to meet Network Rail (NWR) required timescales.
- Liaise with SCO regarding TRU-West requirements for haulage.
- Assist and advise the delivery team regarding haulage plans.
- Create a haulage plan for each project as necessary.
- Attend project meetings to represent haulage and relevant NWR meetings to represent TRU-West.
- Input any road deliveries required through NROL for the projects.
- Participate in regular team and safety meetings with the allocated Project Manager and technical
- briefings with the appropriate technical head.
Skills & experience
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Training:
- Geographical knowledge of the Transpire
- Conversant with the Network Rail Possession Planning System (PPS).
- Knowledge of Network Rail engineering train, on track machine and materials ordering system (NROL3).
- Ability to use and understand the National Electronic Sectional
- Understand OLE isolation planning
- Knowledge of the Network Rail planning process and
- Ability to communicate plans and issues to members of the
- Experience to develop requirements and turn these into formal
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Training:
- Personal Track Safety (if the required frequency of use cannot be achieved to maintain competence, attendance at 2 yearly refresher training is desirable, albeit outside Sentinel).
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment Techniques.
- IOSH working.
