Rail Systems Integration Expert - Middle East

EWI have an exciting opportunity for Rail Systems Integration Expert with Testing and Commissioning experience, to join a leading European Engineering Consultancy to join a prestigious Metro project in the Middle East

Responsibilities:

• Lead the integration efforts of various subsystems including signalling, communications, power supply, rolling stock, fare collection, and control systems.
• Develop integration strategies and plans to ensure seamless interoperability among different systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and optimise system performance.

• Develop comprehensive testing procedures and protocols for each subsystem.
• Execute system tests, analyse results, and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee the commissioning process to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability, functionality, and safety of integrated systems.
• Conduct thorough reviews of system designs, specifications, and documentation to identify potential risks and mitigate them proactively.

• Maintain accurate records of integration activities, test results, and commissioning milestones.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and recommendations.

• Provide training and technical support to project team members and end-users on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the integration, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and third-party certifying agencies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 15+ years' experience in systems integration, testing, and commissioning, preferably in the transportation or rail industry.
• In-depth knowledge of metro systems components such as signaling, communications, rolling stock, and control systems.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to transportation systems (e.g., EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
