Risk Consultant
We have an excellent opportunity for a Risk Management professional within the financial services market. You will be part of an established best in industry Risk Management team focusing on an innovative infrastructure programme within the financial services sector.
As a Risk Consultant, you will be the lead for implementing an integrated risk management process across this new programme, facilitating identification, assessment, ownership, provisioning and management of threats, opportunities and issues.
Risk Consultant role will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, design and deliver risk management processes aligned to clients’ requirements and best practise
- Lead risk, (threats and opportunity) activities to proactively manage risk and identify efficiencies across the programme
- Support with identifying and developing suitable management responses that are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions
- Support and train client and the internal organisation on risk management processes and practices
- Develop and lead efficient risk contingency processes aligned with client’s requirements
- Proactively communicate the benefits of risk management
- Perform quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels
- Deliver risk workshops with client and allocated project teams
- Produce ad hoc risk reports to enable timely communication of threat & opportunity status
- Drive the need and implementation of mitigation actions against associated risks across the programme
- Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of risks
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate the following capabilities: professional understanding of an integrated risk management process (schedule, cost and risk) on a large project or programme, threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation, risk workshop facilitation, qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk including probabilistic modelling
- Proven experience in a risk delivery role on projects/programmes
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Intermediate to advance MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
This Risk Consultant role is on an initial 6 month contract, with the option to extend further
Rates £450-500 per day (umbrella)
