The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are seeking a Risk Manager to join a leading Railway Engineering Consultancy

Opportunity

Joining the commercial team is an excellent opportunity to join a team of engineers that is widely recognized as market leaders in the field of Risk Management. This position will be working on the Eglington Light Railway project in Toronto, presenting candidates with the opportunity to take on full time permenant role in Canada.

Job Role / Responsibilities

The job role will be work in the field of Risk Management:

• develop and maintain the risk management process, procedures and configuration of risk registers and reports;
• facilitating the identification, evaluation and control of risks both through formal workshop interventions and ongoing liaison with all key stakeholders (i.e. through mini-workshops and one-to-ones) as dictated by the various project;
• provide functional support in risk management;
• ensure development of infrastructure for risk management;
• ensure that training plans and calendars are put in place so as to ensure development of project risk culture;
• communicate the value of risk management and educate the organisation on the risk management process;
• participate in multiple areas of the project to ensure that project groups not only understand what risk management involves but also actively participate in the process.
• ensures that adequate training is provided to all risk management team members;
• monitor the implementation and performance of the risk management system;
• participate in risk meetings with the PMC Risk Management Team;
• ensure effectiveness and continual improvement of the risk management system;

Location

The role will be based in Toronto, Canada.

Salary Package

The salary package consists of $180,000 - $200,000 Canadian dollars per year

Requirements

For this role the client that ewi recruitment are working with have a minimum requirement of:

• 20 years experience in Risk Management
• 15 years experience in the Railway industry, performing the responsibilities of the Risk Manager
• Degree in relevant subject
