Rolling Stock MIG Welders in Wolverton, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom
We are currently recruitng for MIG Welders to refurbish Class 769 trains.
The welders duties are to cut out using plasma cutters and grinders, re-fabricate and weld back in where appropriate.
This is mainly MIG welding on mild steel upto 12mm, but may from time to time be welding on aluminium (very small amounts of ally).
Paying £27 umbrella up to 60-70 hours a week available on days. 7-5 each day, 10 hour shift.
6-9 month contract
Previous experience required
Ideal candidates would come from: rail/rolling stock, aviation/aerospace, commercial vehicles or similar
Codings MAGS BSEN 287-1 vertical up and overhead positions in butt and fillet welds ranging from 2mm to 10mm.
There is a recruitment day next week (Wednesday 20th October) for a large number of weld tests to be conducted. If selected and if required you will then be put forward for a further 2-3 days’ paid training.
All selected candidates will be required to complete a D&A and Safety Critical Medical.
