My client is a specialist in the delivery of innovative technology solutions and services within the railway infrastructure.
An opportunity has arisen for a Solutions Architect to join the existing team.
The purpose of the role is to plan, design, develop and integrate systems solutions including selection or scoping of hardware and software products following installation and maintenance according to client specification. Provide assurance to compliance to applicable standards relevant to the customer requirements and environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Elaborates technical specifications, according to the requirements defined by customers or sales.
- Performs planning, design, configuration or Integration of dedicated solutions, for customers and partners.
- Ability to liaise with and communicate concepts to people with various levels of experience in an open and clear manner
- Use appropriate techniques to define requirements with customers or help them to understand their own needs using tools such as workshops and interactive training sessions
- Investigate technical requirement including testing, analysis of current trends in order to make pivotal recommendations
- Support production of Verification and Validation reports.
- Support delivery of Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) services.
- Creates service modules in cooperation with Service & Maintenance teams, and ensures its realisation.
- Analyses technical issues after solution delivery, and facilitates problem solving with Service & Maintenance teams utilising supplier support as required.
- Provides regular reporting of the technology adoption and opportunities for assigned accounts served.
- Supports exhibitions, fairs, product demonstrations and trainings, in corporation with Marketing.
- Adheres to all relevant Quality Management System (QMS) structures, processes and standard quality methods.
- Supports project team to deliver on time and within budget
Knowledge, skills & experience required:
- Proficient understanding and know how in processes, technologies, products or other relevant field of expertise
- Effective utilization of recognized planning, analytical or conceptual principles and techniques
- Understanding and applying principles of effective project management
- Ability to apply technical data knowledge to provide sound analyses in order to drive results significantly and support respective management decision
- Understands impact of legislation and law regulations relevant to the business or function
- Proving profound technical understanding of the assigned software portfolios
- Good blend of business/commercial, sales and technical skills
