This is a unique opportunity to join our expanding Glasgow depot.

Previous experience of working in a Stores or Stock Control Environment is preferable alongside a willingness to learn, have a keen interest in the future of the railway and be able to support our works.

Duties would include:

• Ensure stock levels are replenished to min/max requirement
• Receiving all deliveries, booking in goods received, checking delivery notes
• Issue store parts to engineers on request
• Create new part/bin/location and upload
• Carry out weekly stock checks and report discrepancies
• Buy and record PPE issued to all staff
• Check all incoming parts and goods receipt daily
• Sign out and in tools, plant and materials
• Ensure stationery levels are sufficient
• Store housekeeping
• Ensure all equipment is charged and ready for use
• Unloading goods by Forklift and moving to correct stores area
• Regular stock checks and updates and report discrepancies
• Ordering materials as required through our supplier network

Knowledge and Experience

• Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems
• Excellent Organisational Skills
• Ability to work Methodically and quickly
• Forklift License
• Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic
• Good communications skills, ability to deal with external suppliers and internal manufacturing
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed
