TECHNICAL ASSISTANT - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Technical Assistant required to join a well established Rail contractor in the North West. The role will involve liaising between office based and site based staff, and will be largely office based initially.

The role:

• Completing site paperwork for ongoing projects
• Liaising with the Works Delivery Manager and Project Manager
• Updating project progress reports
• Reviewing project documents such as As-Built drawings and hand-back files
• Provide technical assistance within the project team
• Prepare & submit Intervention Instruction Document (IID)
• Complete Health & Safety paperwork such as Work Package Plan, Task Briefs and Risk Assessments
• Oversee the administration and coordination of works

The individual:

• School or college leaver, with some experience of working in construction
• Understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and environmental requirements withing construction
• Previous experience of construction administration / clerical work
• Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
