Telecoms Expert - Egypt High Speed Rail

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialists are supporting a leading European consultancy and are requiring a Telecoms Expert for the Egypt High-Speed Rail

Mission:

• Managing Telecommunication & SCADA team of Engineers, experts and inspectors to review the design, supervise construction, testing and commissioning of telecommunication and low current systems including fiber optics, CCTV, radio-communication, telephone systems, digital data transmission, public address, clock system, passenger information displays and SCADA.
• Responsible for reviewing the telecom documents during the different stages of the project (procurement, manufacturing, detailed design, execution documents, acceptance test procedures (factory & on site) according to client requirements
• Contractor supervision
• Have advisory and acceptance role in technical issues related to design review and compliance with the Employer's Requirements (ER). Responsible to represent to the Client any subject, study, proposal, issue related to the discipline

• Review of Centralized Control Installation Drawings and Method Statements according to the design standards and specifications stated in the EPC
• System design include the following: -Automatic Train Supervision, Traction control via SCADA system, Power Control via SCADA system, Maintenance Management system, Interfaces with internal signaling and Automatic Train Control systems and external systems like electromechanical, telecom, power, fare collection, ...etc...
• Supervising the implementation and the provisional taking over of the project
• Contractor supervision
• Review factory and site test procedures to ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled.
• Ensure site installations are done on-time according to the proper installation methods and all centralized control interface requirements are met by the different contractors with the help of the site supervisor
• Witness FAT /SAT tests with the client and the contractor.
• Prepare reports for the Design status, Site progress and FAT/SAT tests results

Requirements for the role are:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, or similar
• Minimum of 10 of previous professional experience in the implementation of telecommunication systems for rail transport
• 4+ Years of experience in the organization and supervision of the installation, testing and commissioning of the telecommunication and centralized control in HSR and other electrified rail transport projects, including SCADA system, CCTV system , Fiber optic networks
• Have previous experience of migration of HSR systems.

Salary is currently undefined, but we expect to be in the range of 10,000 USD Tax Free and full expat package
