A well known Engineering and Manufacturing company is looking for a Telecoms expert to join a recently awarded LRT project in Israel.
The Telecom Expert with be responsible for:
* Management of the Project Telecoms activities in setting of budgets, personal objectives, training, development and succession planning.
* Manage and lead the Telecoms Design, Installation, Testing and Commissioning activities in the delivery of major and minor project works predominantly acting as Telecoms Design and Construction, taking responsibility for coordinated delivery of all aspects of the design, installation, testing and commissioning solutions.
* Monitor resourcing levels against all projects
* Provide an effective mechanism for team management with clear communication lines, creating a sense of urgency to safely meet project deliverables, timescales and budget expectations.
* Manage telecoms engineering delivery performance ensuring consistency of design output and compliance with defined company standards, power design principles, industry standards and clients project requirements.
* Liaise with Planner and other discipline leads to develop and maintain accurate delivery schedules and resource forecasts.
* Monitor, action and accountable for discrepancies where deviations to programme and forecast occur.
* Manage Authority to Work and Mentorship requirements within the Telecoms activities
* Motivate and develop staff, empowering team members to achieve their plans and growth targets and ensure the long-term sustainability of the team
* Role model and promote health, safety and environment
* Ensure procedures and work practices are documented and managed
* Lead the tendering telecoms elements
* To comply with, undertake and promote all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, responsibilities and activities.
* Completion of Performance Management Cycle for Telecoms department
* Telecoms performance against project plans, to budget and acceptable quality
* Assist with investigation reports
* Subcontractor QCD performance monitoring
* Provide Client and sub-contractor feedback
* Work package progress reports
* Ensure Timely delivery of work packages
* Provide safety statistics reportable incidents
* Undertake risk assessments carried out
* Ensure that telecoms department productivity targets met (budgeted hours and earned value)
* Reduce rework volumes for design, installation and testing
* Improve consistency of design production
* Improve audit performance
* Ensure resource demands are met
* Management of staff issues
* Colabrate and contribute technical matters with regional and central engineering team.
* Authorities to Work in place
* Mentorship Plans in place
* Training and development plans with succession plans in place
* Monitor IRSE licences of staff
* Minimum 10 year of experience
* Graduated from electronic and/or communication engineering.
