Telecoms Expert - Rail

EWI are supporting a leading international consultancy in the search for a highly skilled Telecoms Expert to join our team for an exciting rail project in Qatar. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing and directing the telecommunication elements of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall management and direction for the telecommunication components of the project.
• Develop and produce technical documents related to telecommunications, including design specifications, tender documents, and technical memos.
• Conduct site inspections during various stages of installation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Address and resolve technical queries from contractors throughout the design, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Perform design review activities to ensure all client requirements are met.
• Identify and report any major issues or potential conflicts.
• Lead the resolution of all design and technical issues related to telecommunications within the railway project.
• Prepare presentations for senior and executive management on technical matters.
• Provide regular updates on the progress of resolving outstanding issues.
• Coordinate with multiple discipline leads on technical matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in rail projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Proven managerial capabilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Experience in the GCC region is preferred.
