Are you somebody with Temporary works experience looking to take your career down a more technical route? Whether you’re a Senior engineer or a Sub agent, this is a fantastic opportunity commencing on a major rail project in London and will see you joining this main contractor with the aim of working towards Lead Temporary Works Engineer.

The Role:

This position as Temporary Works Co-ordinator will be the steppingstone for an ambitious individual, eager to progress their career and build their own team. You’ll be joining a well-known company whose rail division alone turns over £150million per annum with your first project being a large station, where you’ll act as the designated Temporary Works Co-ordinator. This role will see you analysing the Temporary Works requirements on the Programme with works such as crane pads, scaffolding, and fencing. Day to day you can expect to:

  • Liaise heavily with the Temporary Works Design Consultancy, check the designs, and issue the relevant permits for works to be carried out.
  • Provide temporary works plans to be signed off by CEM or LTWE.
  • Liaise with the relevant DNO’s and Public relations bodies regarding temporary works impacts.

Package:

This company are offering a basic salary circa £50,000, the choice of a company car or car allowance (£ <phone number removed> days holiday + bank holiday, funding of chartership and other professional memberships, all travel and mileage paid for, lodging when required, health insurance, life insurance, and the fantastic opportunity to quickly progress into a more Senior position.

About you:

To succeed in this role, it’s a given that you’ll have a desire to work in a more technical capacity outside of being an Engineer or Agent, you may even consider yourself an Engineering enthusiast! It is essential that you can display experience as a Senior Engineer/Sub agent on Civil engineering schemes (rail, highways, flood defence, earthworks). Although you’re not required to be an expert, a good understanding of temporary works is a must. You’ll be ambitious and a fantastic communicator, ideally with a BEng qualification and a TWC ticket.
