EWI is the leading infrastructure recruitment specialist and is currently looking for a temporary works coordinator for a major infrastructure project for a remote project in Australia. This is one of the largest infrastructure projects globally and a landmark project in Australia.
We have an exciting opportunity where we are currently looking for a temporary works coordinator to join one of the largest Civil/Energy projects based on a remote site in Australia, with a value in the billions of $ AUD. This project offers a great opportunity to gain experience within a large-scale international infrastructure project and to work with multiple future projects within Australia. International relocation is offered too!
The current job role would be great for someone with experience in temporary works construction within large civil concrete structures such as; Tunnels, Dams, Hydropower, Railways, Airports etc.
The company is operating with a very competitive salary base depending on experience level and offering full VISA and relocation support where needed.
Job Purpose
The TWC is responsible for ensuring that the contractors procedures for the control of temporary works are implemented on site. The TWC is not normally the designer, but is responsible for ensuring that a suitable temporary works design is monitored, checked and implemented on site in accordance with the relevant drawings and specification.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that contractors procedures for the control of temporary works are implemented on site
- The main responsible for ensuring that temporary works designs are prepared, checked an implemented on site in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications
- Lead a team of civil engineers
- Coordinate with construction and site managers to ensure work is measures up to project standards
Requirements
- Understanding of local employment policies and laws
- Experience in large scale, high pressure staffing
- Experienced in construction projects in Australia or internationally
- Experience working in same or relevant role
- Preferably a native standard of English
