Track Manager in Saudi Arabia
A well-known international consultancy is looking for a Rail Track Manager to support a newly built team to advise their client in Saudi Arabia on Operations & Maintenance of several railway projects.
Responsibilities:
*Direct the planning and execution of all internal infrastructure maintenance activities related to Track to ensure plans are carried out across the Client's network in line with quality standards and maintenance budgets and operational requirement.
*Deliver best practice, cost-effective maintenance in line with maintenance budgets by efficient spend projection and budget control.
*Implement planned maintenance program (including preventative maintenance) and provide progress reports accordingly
*Perform inspections on all infrastructure and deliverables of maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations, standards and procedures and Identify and submit non compliances for approval and take appropriate action where required.
*Manage and assess the performance of third-party contractors responsible for providing maintenance services for Track in the Client's office, with support from Supply Chain, regularly inspecting contractor operations to ensure compliance with maintenance, quality, safety and security standards.
*Restore to normal operation after completion of testing/investigation, equipment that has failed, been subject to an allegation or has been renewed as part of a maintenance delivered renewal program.
*Develop and agree annual maintenance, inspection and testing programs and resource levels.
*Develop and authorize quarterly work plans and resource levels.
*Liaise with Maintenance planning team to ensure maintenance plans have no impact to operational requirements.
Leadership Role:
*Ensure that all knowledge transfer and individual development programs and plans for all targeted Track employees are developed and implemented in cooperation with HR & Support Services Division.
*Ensure that the overall business plans and Track strategy is communicated and understood by all Track Maintenance employees, and all Client's employees generally.
*Oversee the recruitment and development of an experienced and qualified workforce.
*Oversee appropriate workflow management between direct reports through appropriate delegation of work.
*Set individual objectives of direct reports and periodically evaluate their performance in a fair, transparent and objective manner in accordance with the Client policies and employee performance management procedures and oversee setting of appropriate individual objectives as well as the performance evaluation of employees in the department.
*Develop the manpower needs of the division in coordination with section heads and carefully plan the optimal allocation and effective use of its resources in line with the Client Manpower Planning guidelines.
*Follow up on the implementation of action plans and operational programs and provide guidance and instruction to subordinates on appropriate solutions to resolve implementation issues.
*Ensure a proper partnership is established within and among Track teams, through implementing well- integrated systems and communication channels, to better serve the business needs of the Client.
