Trainee Rail Trainer / Assessor x2

Location: Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

Salary: £24,000 - £44,000 per year

Skills College UK Limited are one of the UK's largest providers of rail engineering vocational qualifications.

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Trainee Rail Engineering Tutors/Assessors to deliver our vocational courses at both Level 2 & Level 3 giving experienced Rail professionals the opportunity to take the next steo in their careers.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years' Permanent Way Experience and hold their COSS licence. You will have the ability to present information clearly and concisely as well as the passion to teach and train others in track maintenance. Courses are delivered 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

About the role

During the first 2 months of your role you will shadow existing tutors/assessors, learning how to deliver our programmes whilst simultaneously completing your assessors qualification (paid for by Skills Ciollege UK).

During this training time you will be on the trainee rate of £24,000 per annum. Once your assessors qualification is completed you will move up to the qualified rate of £44,000 per annum.

Additional information

The majority of the work will be North-West based but you will be required to travel when required according to course demands. Mileage and expenses will be paid in this case.

Skills College UK deliver courses in the community and in prison establishments so you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS & prison vetting check.

• 23 days annual leave per year as well plus 8 bank holidays.
