Ford and Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting an experienced Training and Development Manager with rail experience to undertake technical training in a well-known rail business.
The Opportunity
The role of Training and Development Manager will see you directly involved with the development of courses to ensure that the needs of the company's rolling stock division are met. This will include taking responsibility for apprentices' learning and making sure that training meets NVQ and City and Guilds requirements as well as internal needs. Managing and overseeing a team of technical trainers would be a large part of your role.
Location: This position is based across the client's London offices
Role and Responsibilities:
- Developing courses to ensure that the needs of engineering functions are met
- Ensuring courses meet the necessary requirements for apprentices to achieve qualifications such as NVQs and City & Guilds
- Leading a team of technical trainers
- Managing Safety Critical Competency Assessment processes and refining them where needed
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have extensive training experience, experience of managing a team and possess a relevant qualification in learning and development or coaching. You should have knowledge of both Health and Safety and safety critical rail standards with experience in the industry essential.
