Tree Surgeon in North Wales, United Kingdom
Division: Arboriculture & Vegetation Management
Location: North Wales (Based out of Llandudno)
Excellent rates of pay, depending on qualifications and experience
What will I be doing?
As a Tree Surgeon, you will make up part of a 2–3-man team, working predominantly around the North Wales area on commercial tree works and on occasion depending on demand you may be expected to travel 1-2 hours from your base works to provide cover in other teams. Mid-week regular shifts 0700 – 1600
- Understand the delivery of all elements of Network Rail de-vegetation works
- Completion of essential daily paperwork: HAVS, PUWER & LOLER checks
- To maintain a healthy working relationship with Principal Contractors and/or Contractors, obtaining future work plans to assist growth.
- Ensure good knowledge of Health and safety procedures relating to Rail Infrastructure.
- Ability to complete risk assessments to a high standard
- Confidence to understand and brief out risk assessments
Good understanding of how to identify, and work to, industry best practices and deliver excellent standards of work
What experience would we like you to have?
To be considered for these roles we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a proven track record of working in the Arboriculture industry.
- Experience of delivering Arboriculture works within a railway environment
- Good working knowledge of tree species (British common species)
- Up to date knowledge on best industry practices in relation to climbing and chainsaw disciplines
Hold the following essential competencies;
- NPTC CS30 & CS31
- NPTC CS38 & CS39
- NPTC Chipper qualification or Lantra
- First Aid Certificate (in date)
- Comfortable communicating with site teams and delivering safety briefings as necessary.
- PTS
Candidates who have had a PTS expire recently/ who need a recert will be considered
