Name of the position: Warranty and Maintenance Technician
Department: RAIL SERVICES
Role purpose
To effect the overall smooth and efficient operation of the rolling stock maintenance in line with CAF policies and procedures, reporting to Shift Manager.
Ensure all maintenance is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
Fundamental roles and responsibilities which are inherent to the position:
- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on all aspects of CAF NZ rolling stock in line with CAF policies and procedures
- Fault finding and rectification using mechanical and electrical schematics
- Updating the Maintenance Management System to reflect the status of tasks
- Recording material movements
- Ensuring tasks carried out meet the quality requirements of the relevant Railway standards
The scope of your role is subject to change by CAF NZ from time to time, following consultation with you.
Required profile
Education:
Certificate or equivalent years’ experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Previous experience with maintenance of heavy machinery
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication
- Authorize to work in NZ.

- Ability to work rostered shift work

As a Maintenance Technician each day will be different. Your main role will be to carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on all of the trains' systems (mechanical, electrical and electronic). We'll provide you with all of the tools and training needed to perform the wide variety of tasks needed to keep Auckland's trains running smoothly.
