The role

You will assist the Senior Welding Supervisor in the Planning delivery and Inspection of track welding works associated with track renewals (Contracts/Projects/ Work Packages including Alumino Thermic Welding, Flash butt welding and Manual Metal Arc welding) in compliance with the appropriate group and line standards. There will be fantastic variety in the work with the opportunity to work in a connected and collaborative culture. You will ensure compliance with all the relevant safety and welfare regulations and ensure that the welding team have appropriate valid certificates of competence.

About you:

You will have a demonstratable competence in welding procedures (Minimum 5 years) and at least one years’ experience in a supervisory role. An excellent knowledge of HASAW and other appropriate regulations would be beneficial along with a knowledge of financial controls. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to produce clear and precise information. On top of that you will have a willingness to learn and want to develop yourself in the rail industry.
