A well-known international Tier 1 contractor is looking for an Overhead Catenary Systems Senior Design Engineer for a turnkey project based in the Philippines.

Senior OCS Engineer -Japanese OCS Design

OCS: Overhead Contact System/ Overhead Catenary System, Overhead Line Equipment (OLE), Over Head Line Equipment (OHLE), Overhead Electric Traction System (OETS), Over Head Line (OHL), Flexible Overhead Catenary System (FOCS), Rigid Overhead Catenary System (ROCS)


Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the following:

Technical Requirement

* Preparation of project-related preliminary, pre-final and final design drawings and documentation for Overhead Catenary Systems (in the field of Railway Electrification projects) considering customer specifications and International/National regulations and standards.
* Analyses and reviews design and other submission documents prepared by the CAD Engineers and Other Engineers.
* Interface clarification and technical integration of overhead contact line systems
* Participation in technical liaison meetings with customers, suppliers and Colas internal departments overseas
* Knowledge sharing and on the job training CAD Engineer, junior engineer, graduate engineer to develop as team member and cross-departmental training.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, civil or mechanical engineering
Desired Knowledge / Expérience
* Preferable 5+ years of professional experience in the field of overhead catenary system design
* Experience in Japanese Catenary Design is a must.
* Knowledge of relevant European/Japanese and international standards and railway safety principles
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, structural and/or electrical design
* Experienced in international project working environments.
* High level of customer and quality orientation
* Strong analytical, arithmetic, and visualization skills and good English language is a must.
* Understanding of the Japanese Language and Japanese Customs is desirable.
