Deploy are working closely with a leading partner of the UK rail industry on a recruitment campaigne to increase the capactiy of the Signalling Design teams. We are looking for Senior Signalling Principle Design Engineers to join our client on a permanet basis due to an increase in up coming project work. There are several positions available with one being based in Birmingham and one being based in London, both roles will involve LUL and mainline works.

The Senior Signalling Principle Design Engineer will manage and independently check the delivery of packages of signalling design, in line with the scope of works, the phasing of works on site. Producing book wiring, bills of materials, design risk assessments. All work is in required to achieve company objectives in terms of programme schedule, financial and quality targets.

To ensure that the Engineering Processes are applied correctly and appropriately on the project to company, legislative, regulatory and international standards.

This role includes significant application of signalling design principles from either the post holder or members of the team.

The right candidate will have:

• Minimum of 5 years proven signalling engineering experience, including senior responsibility;
• Appropriate technical qualification or equivalent;
• IRSE Principles Designer Licence 1.1.150D or 1.1.130; 1.1.550 or equivalent
• IRSE Signalling Design Verifier Licence 1.1.160 or equivalent;
• Registration with the IRSE, ideally to Member level;
• Extensive knowledge of signalling principles;
• Has a full understanding of the Engineering lifecycle and its processes.
• Current knowledge of signalling design processes;
• Extensive knowledge of LU and or Network Rail standards;
• Will be able to provide resource estimate to the Design Manager
• And be able to act as a mentor to members of the signalling design staff as directed.
