Overview
The Document Production and Control Coordinator will support the production, collation, distribution, and filing of documents required as part of client project deliverables, marketing materials, sales documents, and internal communications. They will draw on their eye for detail, creative flair, and impeccable organisational skills to ensure all documents are produced to a consistently high standard and in a timely manner.
Location
This is a hybrid role, with the option to work from home as well as either our Warrington or Bristol office.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Bid & Marketing Manager to develop, use and improve master reporting templates in line with the company brand guidelines for consistency of communication across all client-facing and internal company documentation.
- Implement the standardised document/drawing numbering system and filing systems, as developed by the Practice Manager.
- Provide proofreading, copy-editing, and quality control support in the production of documents and marketing collateral, ensuring compliance with company writing standards.
- Work closely with report-producing engineers to ensure timely production of quality reports (and other deliverables) to clients in line with project schedule/deadlines and client-issued document control process(es).
- When required, issue final materials to the client through a single point of contact and ensure they are accessible to the project team.
- Communication with colleagues and agreed stakeholders to ensure company processes, standards, and feedback are communicated in a timely manner.
- Process development – identify and implement new ways of working to ensure improved efficiency and quality in document production, approval, distribution, organisation and archiving
- Develop an understanding of SEMP consultancy projects and services.
- Identify the need for new templates to meet business requirements
- Updates/help produce document and tech diagrams to align with brand guidelines.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an outstanding grasp of English.
- Ability to proofread and copy edit complex, technical documents for clarity and readability.
- Ability to spot inconsistencies in formatting and style.
- Ability to respond to fast turnaround times to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- 1-2 years of previous experience, ideally in document control or in a professional services/engineering consultancy.
- Educated to a degree level.
