A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Flexible Production Operator (Test Capable) in Plymouth. Joining a member of the team to provide high quality products and systems.
Role:
The successful candidate will be able to carry out all mechanical assembly and cable looming work as instruction by the Cell Leader.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and assemble mechanical Wayside or Onboard enclosures and install electrical and electronic equipment
- Interpret manufacturing documentation to be able to produce labels for Wayside and Onboard enclosures
- Perform standard point to point and electrical safety tests
- Install cables and cable looms as detailed in Wiring Drawings and Wiring Schedules into Wayside and onboard enclosures
Essential Requirements:
- Practical, 'hands on', experience of assembly, wiring and testing of similar safety critical products
- Experience using electronic test equipment
- Experience investigating production and test faults
- Ability to read and interpret production documents
Desirable:
- Minimum ONC level in discipline of Electronic/Electrical Engineering
- Experience of safety critical systems for rail and/or transportation industries
