An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator (Enhanced) based in Plymouth. The Production Operator will be a member of a Flexible Production team.
Role:
The successful candidate will carry out all mechanical assembly and electrical cable wiring associated with the manufacture of equipment
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and assemble mechanical Wayside or Onboard enclosures
- Manufacture individual cables and looms as detailed in Wiring Drawings and Wiring Schedules
- Interpret manufacturing documentation to be able to produce labels to identify Wayside and Onboard equipment
- Perform standard point to point and electrical safety tests as defined in test instructions
Essential Requirements:
- ONC level minimum in the discipline of Electronic/Electrical engineering
- Experience of safety critical systems for rail and/or transportation industries
- Experience of Free Writing equipment
- Experience of assembly, wiring and testing of similar safety critical products in a lean manufacturing environment
Desirable:
- Experience using Windows Software
- Ability to investigate production and test faults
