Purpose of the Role
Carrying out detailed checks of works and ensuring the correct level of liaison with the Delivery Units and other key external stakeholders.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability
- Lead the AMP management processes and assist the delivery team to implement them.
- Ensure that the correct level of engagement with key stakeholders from the Delivery Unit (DU) and the Project Interface Co-ordinators (PIC) is established and maintained gathering and disseminating Asset Status Reports and other key pre-construction information to the team highlighting deficiencies to the Production Manager for escalation.
- Compilation of and management of Health and Safety Files for SRSA contracted works.
- Provide pre-construction management input to the project works, particularly advice regarding construction/ implementation/ constructability, job reviews and QSRA meetings.
- Undertake appropriate liaison with the Maintainer when the project works will/ may affect Maintained Assets.
- Keep suitable records for the project works being managed and communicate information regarding construction management to the rest of the project team in a timely and effective manner.
- For the project works being managed identify issues on site that may result in cost variation/ change control and report them to the Production Manager providing assistance in the valuation of these variations if required.
- Ensure any land acquisition and agreements are in place in a timely manner and assist the team in the whole life of any land agreement including dilapidation and mobilisation/de-mobilisation surveys, inclusive of clearance agreements with Railway land.
- As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
- Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
Person Specification The job holder will have:
- Relevant experience for the specialist area of construction being undertaken.
- Understanding of the CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation, regulations, and industry practices.
- Contract awareness
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in the site environment.
