Accountabilties:
- Responsible for providing strategic input into the project's Infrastructure Management, Digital Asset Information and Digital Engineering Strategies, ensuring that the processes associated with creating and managing asset data fulfils the business requirements;
- Key stakeholder in the specification and requirements of the Asset Information Management System (AIMS), to ensure that it delivers value to the business;
- Ensure the wider Asset Information Team is sufficiently resourced to support the development and on-going maintainability of Asset Information and associated definitions, standards, methods and procedures;
- Responsible for providing a fit for purpose asset data quality management framework with associated KPIs to enable effective measurement of data quality, development and execution of improvement plans, and reporting through the governance structure;
- Ensure information exchange methodologies are developed to meet both the project's and its Supply Chain's needs;
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of all processes, including governance, of asset information;
- Establish Asset Information accountabilities, data requirements and their alignment to business risk;
- Define the skills and behaviours needed for the whole life management of asset related data;
- Engage with other areas of to ensure Asset Information is embedded in appropriate local processes;
- Promote digital transformation in all areas where greater efficiency can be gained, influencing and implementing change;
KEY CRITERIA:
Skills:
- Evaluating of data quality and its impact on the asset lifecycle;
- Evaluating of data quality processes and the ability to analyse and articulate the impact of change;
- Analytic skills and ability to use analytic tools and MS Office suite at an advanced level
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of data management practices is essential;
- Knowledge of the requirements of BS/PAS 1192, ISO19650, ISO 55000 & ISO 8000-150;
- Knowledge of data analysis using a variety of data analysis tools and techniques is essential;
- Knowledge of at least one software programming language and database querying language is desirable;
- Knowledge of data governance approaches is desirable;
- Knowledge of data quality processes and the ability to analyse and articulate the impact of change;
- Understanding of the influence that a data quality has on the asset lifecycle;
- Educated in a technical or numeric discipline to at least degree level or equivalent and/or a track record demonstrating professional development.
Type of experience:
- Experience running and coordinating large scale data systems and processes is essential;
- Experience developing and using performance measures to identify and resolve process problem areas is essential;
- Experience managing large corporate data stores and their related systems is essential;
- Influencing key stakeholders within the Project and stakeholder organisations is essential.
- A background in Information Management
