A UK based Rail related engineering organisation, we have an urgent need for a committed and detailed Assistant Project Manager to help assist with the development and implementation of credible processed for timely P-Way / Track renewals, to be based in London.

The appointed Assistant Project Manager be working closely and supporting the Senior Project Manager. You will be accountable for understanding, overseeing and assisting in the direction of design to delivery, project planning requirements, document control and varied project administration.

With the expectation of perhaps representing the Senior Project Manager on occasions, you the Assistant Project Manager will need to attend varied project progress and development meetings, liaise with key stakeholders, clients and sub-contractors alike and work closely with design and commercial teams

The appointed Assistant Project Manager will possess the following;

• Past working experience and involvement within the planning and programming for P-Way delivery work
• Good working appreciation of technical drawings, engineering designs, survey requirements and scoping
• Confidence within man-management, sub-contractor control and conducting or reviewing requirements plans, progress monitoring and quality checks experience
• Detailed approach to recording and reporting, programme diary updates and document control
• Experience and competence with interfacing and liaising with Clients, Key-Stakeholders, and Sub-contractors
• Will ideally hold a minimum of HNC (or equivalent) within a Civil engineering/ development remit
• Preferred but not essential is to hold or be working towards a Project Management (APM) qualification such as Prince or equivalent.
• You will already hold a valid PTS

Being the Assistant Project Manager, you will a driver of delivery to meet time quality and budgetary constraints as well as being a strong Project management support and keen to embrace further learning.


This contractual position is to start ASAP for an initial 3-4 months stint possibly leading to a longer-term requirement. Our client is looking to offer a completive per day rate for the right level of knowledge, experience, and drive.
