Assistant Projects Manager
Location: Pontypridd, Wales
Are looking for a new role as an Assistant Projects Manager?
Purpose of the role
To support the Project Manager in the delivery of allocated contracts, safely and in accordance with legislation and Amey Procedures to contract specification and programme.About the role
• To promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with the safety responsibility statement below. • To audit and inspect on-site procedures to the stipulated frequencies. • To support the delivery of the Amey Essentials. • Assist in the production of accurate forecasts for cost and turnover achieving forecast margins for allocated contracts. • To assist in site monitoring and cost control / reporting for allocated contracts in a timely manner and approved format. • Timely submission of weekly and period end reports to an agreed format (to include the Amey Essentials KPIs). • Timely submission of weekly and period end reports to an agreed format (to include the Amey Essentials KPIs). • To participate in the contract review process. • To support the tender processes and strategy as required Relationships: External • Clients’ Project Manager • Environment Agency • Customer project team • Customer • HSE • Supply Chain Internal • Programme/Senior/ Project Managers • Project Team • SHE Advisor • Commercial • Design Interface • Logistics • Airsweb • HRBP • FinanceWhat are we looking for
Qualifications • Must be able to drive. • Min HNC / HND in Engineering (or a similar approved qualification). Skills • Computer literacy – excel, word, PowerPoint and Microsoft outlook. • Understanding of Railway Planning systems. Experience • Basic project management experience in multi-disciplinary project environment. Technical competencies • Satisfy requirements of PTS medical. • PTS • Health & Safety Training (IOSH). • Knowledge of Risk Assessment techniques • IWA/COSS • Personal track safety AC (PTS AC) • Environmental Awareness Toolbox Talk • IOSH working safelyAbout Amey
