A well-known international engineering company is looking for a consortium Project Director for a design and build railway project. The Consortium Project director will be responsible for this newly awarded $2.4-billion-dollar railway project: 40km of track, 50 stations and an underground section in Israel.
The Consortium Project Director will have extensive experience working on international metro or LRT projects from detailed design, planning, construction, installation through to test and commissioning.
Support the execution of the Package works, by managing the following support activities :
- Project planning & scheduling
- Documentation management and control
- Quality system
- Reporting (internal and external)
- Operation & Maintenance preparation (incl. training)
- IT management (hardware and software)
- Common costs management
Position
Main mission
The Consortium Project Director organises and manages the Alliance Project Management Office team, in order to
support the adequate operation of the consortium.
The PMO encompasses :
- Project planning & scheduling
- Documentation management and control
- Quality system
- Reporting (internal and external)
- ILS (Operation & Maintenance preparation), incl. training
- IT management (hardware and software)
- Common costs management
The Consortium Project Director is the lead member of the Alliance Team reporting directly into the vice president of the MENAT region.
Detailed missions
Internally
*?Defines objectives, assesses performances and collaborates with the respective HR departments to
manage the staff seconded to the Alliance PMO
*?Acts as an expert advisor for the alliance core team and the Management Board for all matters related to the PMO activities
*?Coordinates with the Alliance Core Team on a permanent basis, so that the most effective
and adequate support is given to the entire consortium
*?Coordinates the partners PMOs, with a special focus on Planning & Scheduling
*?Gives main guidelines to draft and update/maintain the management plans, processes and
procedures related to the PMO activities
*?Gives main guidelines to draft and update/maintain the schedules related to the PMO activities
*?Defines the methods and tools to be implemented at consortium level to ensure a correct
development of the above
*?Ensures continuous improvement of the PMO' activities performances
*?Manages the consortium PMO' budget (excluding staff costs) and cost forecasts
Externally
*?Interact with the other PMOs involved in the project
*?Customer
*?Other Project contractors (other packages)
*?Other interfacing entities, stakeholders and interfacing entities
*?Represent the Alliance in all meetings devoted to PMO activities
