Samuel Knight are currently hiring on behalf of our client, an Infrastructure engineering consultancy. They are seeking a Project Manager to join our established team based in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing part of our clients Infrastructure business where you will be based in Birmingham, working with clients in the Highways, Rail, Utilities and Environmental sectors.

Specifically this role requires a Project Management with a Cost and Management services background.

The existing team has a good reputation as specialist consultants in the disciplines of Commercial Management, Project Management Consultancy and PMO services Our client are a leading provider of integrated professional support service solutions. The team has a record of delivering innovative solutions for leading-edge projects within the UK and to a certain extent internationally.

Your experience will include:

• Minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of within the Infrastructure sector
• Experience of management on contracts including the use of NEC3 (ECC and PSC) and sub-contractor/consultant management.
• Experience in working with stakeholders including Local Authorities, Highways England, Network Rail, TfL, DfT and Train Operating Companies. Ideally, this will have included direct secondments to operating companies or service providers.
• Educated to degree standard in related subject
• Membership of a relevant professional institute
• Extensive professional experience within a consultancy environment
• An excellent understanding of the principles of effective project and programme management. Prince2 or APM are preferred.
• Experience working on large scale projects within the Infrastructure sectors is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Deliver the projects safely to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the project life cycle, company standards and other specific legislation.
• Provide a professional, first-class, consistent and effective project management service to the clients, including project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
• Participate in the development of supply strategies and framework contracts.
• Provide detailed input for compilation of the business plan and production of the possessions plan.
• Control project change, risks and contingency within the project life cycle and provide all cost, contingency and programme details.
• Provide a safe working environment in the execution of work directly under the post holder & responsibility, including the development of project safety plans and other associated documentation.
• Assist the Company in discharging its duties under CDM Regulations 2015 (Construction, Design and Management Regulations).
