Engineering Project Manager (Inside IR35)
Contract Term:6 months
Contracting Authority: Network Rail
Location: Hybrid Manchester or Birmingham 2 days a week

As an Engineering Project Manager your main key responsibilities would be to:
- Provide support and coordinate the Route and Region Geotechnical teams on business performance, key programmes of work and new initiatives.
- Provide expert advice input and support associated with the provision of services for our customers and suppliers.
- Support professional leadership for the geotechnical engineering discipline.
- Support the setting of policy and standards, operational processes, and systems.
- Manage the design and delivery of programmes for the development of technical capability required within Network Rail, including the competence framework and effective training materials.
- Support the development of strategy, technology and assets across functions and with industry partners. Liaise with product manufacturers, including external stakeholder e.g. TOC and provide input into the acceptance processes
Essential:
- Experience in engineering and/or project management
- Knowledge of the railway industry and an understanding of railway infrastructure
- Experience in working with 3rd party suppliers.
- Detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
Desirable
- Formal Project Management qualification (e.g. APMP, PRINCE2, PMIP, MSP)
- Chartered status
- Proven ability in managing commercial, contractual, and financial issues.
