Our client is a well-established Nationwide Rail company whose professionalism and well respected name have been instrumental in their success.

Our clients are looking to bring in a Project Engineer with an extensive Geotechnical background to come and join the team in Swindon.

This person will be required to come in and provide an excellent knowledge of Geotech projects as they will be collating the data from the Dullish Cliffs and presenting this data back to the team.

You will need:

Successful relevant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas.

Essential

• Experience of geotechnical assessment and design of earth structures.
• Experience of geotechnical engineering work in a railway or road environment
• Experience of geotechnical assessment and design of earth structures.
• Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering Degree
• Ideally either a Member or working towards Membership of the Institution of Civil
• Engineers or other relevant internationally recognised institution
• Knowledge of Inspection, Assessment, Design, Construction of earth structures
• Ability to review and interpret the results from ground investigation

The role:

The Geotechnical Engineer (GE) is responsible for:

• Supporting the provision of specialist geotechnical engineering input to the team undertaking the condition appraisal, monitoring and design of the earth structures along the South West Peninsular (Devon).
• Reviewing geotechnical design of remedial works for earth structures along the railway line between Dawlish & Teignmouth.
• For supporting the provision of specialist geotechnical engineering input to other projects teams across business (bridges, drainage etc).
  Responsible for collaborating as necessary with all stakeholders within Asset Management, Operation and Sponsors to ensure effective management of earth structures assets.
